...Und er sprach: „Es werde laut!“ und setzte vier junge Menschen mit einem Schulterklopfen in einen preiswerten Keller. Und das Bäumchen trug Früchte verschiedener Art, weil die Erde, in die es gesetzt wurde, vielfältig war. Und siehe es ward Licht in den Köpfen der vier jungen Musiker, die sich kindlich erfreut über diese wundersame Fügung alsbald immer häufiger ebendort einfanden um ihren Ideen und dem unerklärlichen Drang zu Musizieren, eine Form, ja sogar ein Gesicht zu geben. Und Gott sprach: „Schaut´s, dass die Gästelisten ned z´lang werdn!“
Und sie schickten sich an die Früchte jener rhythmisch- melodischen Interessensgemeinschaft in die Welt hinauszutragen.
Die Jakobsleiter (unsererseits religionsneutral und simply symbolisch verstanden), steht für den Weg in den Himmel oder nach oben oder die nie aufhörende musikalische Entwicklung oder das Streben nach Ausdruck oder just havin pleasure on the way up, baby. Da dieser Weg schweißtreibend ist, ist unsere Leiter ein bisschen „salty“ und um unserer gemeinsamen Fähigkeit überrascht und ab und zu über uns selbst erstaunt zu sein auch namentlich Rechnung zu tragen steht in unserer kleinen Wüste also eine: „jacob´s salty and bamboozling ladder“

LARS MOSTON (UK)

Mit einem ganzen Haufen hochkarätiger Veröffentlichungen macht der deutsch- britische DJ und Produzent Lars Moston zur Zeit eine Menge Lärm im Clubland. Seine Hauptprojekte sind Moston & Malente und The Killergroove Formula. Seine aktuelle Solosingle „We Like This“ (Hammarskjöld Rec.) wird von Electrodrehern wie Etienne de Crecy oder Mason ebenso abgefeiert wie von der internationalen Breaks-Gemeinde.
Moston & Malente hatten mit "In the Sky", 2004 auf Moonbootique Rec erschienen, bereits einen Club-Hit, der ihnen Platz vier in den DCC, weltweite Lizensierungen auf großen Compilations und Video-Airplay auf MTV und VIVA einbrachte. Die Nachfolge-Single hatte sogar zwei A-Seiten und hieß folgerichtig “Crowdrock/Tight With You”. Wegen international veröffentlichten sie ihre letzte Platte in England; „The 2 & Only“ erschien bei Splank! Records aus Manchester und brachte es auf „Record Of The Month“ in IDJ Magazine. Von UK nach NY: neu am Start ist der Moston & Malente Remix für Ursula 1000 - “Hello! Let’s Go To The Disco”.
Weil das alles nicht reicht hat Lars Moston gerade mit seiner Crew The Killergroove Formula deren Debütalbum “Territory: World” rausgebracht. Nachdem zuvor bereits Tracks und Remixes auf renommierten Labels wie Unique oder Lab-Rok erschienen waren, erreicht der Killergroove nun mit dem Longplayer auch die nicht-DJs. Mit dem Release von zwei frischen Electro-Breaks Produktionen, „So Bad“ und „No Stopping Us“ wird Erase Rec. (wiederum UK) 2007 das neueste Outlet für Lars Mostons Soloarbeit.
Als DJ spielt Lars ebenso gerne eskalationsfreundlichen Electro-House wie auch Breakbeat, so dass er sich auf den verschiedensten Partys zuhause fühlt. Eigener Style, eigene Styles? Jedenfalls hat Herr Moston bislang die richtigen Platten rausgepickt, um diverse europäische Tanzflächen zum brodeln zu bringen und er schickt sich nun an weltweit steilzugehen. Neben seinen Gast-Bookings ist Lars Moston Resident bei Köln’s Party Nr. 1, der verrückt-bombastischen Loonyland – mit Headlinern wie 2 Many DJs, Boys Noize, Hell, Tiga, Felix da Housecat, Boogie Army, Moonbootica oder Justice die ideale Spielwiese, um seinen positiv-kickenden, elektronischen Partysound zu verfeinern.
THE UPTOWN FELAZ (HU)

The Uptown Felaz (TUF) is a Budapest-based crew and is a joint-project of several people who have known each other for a long time. Their first big nick was in 2002 when they wrote the soundtrack for the Hungarian movie "Tesó" ("Bro'", Best Script @ Hungarian Film Week). The success of the motion picture gave a boost for the team, and they started to show and give out their own tracks to friends and foreign djs, hence their music started to spread.
One of their first tunes "Brainstorm" landed at Dom Servini, by the help of Robin of Dublex Inc. who by the way is a regular guest in Hungary along with his fellows. This was later released on a 7" b/w Capstone "I don't know" on WahWah 45's and also got the remix treatment from Ninja Tune's Hint - this was released on Wah Wah as well in 12 inch format.
There was no rest under the trees; TUF was soon given a request to produce the music material for the second movie by the same director (Zsombor Dyga). The crime-comedy "Kész Cirkusz" debuted at the 2005 Hungarian Film Week, and the music got the award for the "Best Original Soundtrack". There are some other releases out now by them: they appeared on the compilation of a local label, Mama Records and the hardcore percussion bomb "Coconut" was released on the long-time German friends Pulver Records.
TUF has five members: Akos Baranyai aka Future (turntables, djing), Gabor Katona aka Negro (drums, djing), Krisztian Padar (programming), Attila Nemeth Dr. (bass), Levente Szabo Dr. (guitar), but they are usually pieced out with part-time collaborators from time to time. They work with specially trained musicians too, for example Lõrinc Barabás who studies at Hungarian Jazz Conservatoire. TUF is working on the debut album at the moment. Negro and Future are responsible for TUF dj sets. They use four turntables at their shows; Negro's freestyle selection is supported by Future's top-notch turntablism.
TUF got lot of positive feedback from djs, radio shows worldwide; just a few names who are spinning their tracks: Diesler from Tru Thoughts fame, Trinity & Rocky Rococo, Kid Loco, Dom Servini, Flow Dynamics, Ed Royal... It was a great honour for our trumpet player, Lõrinc, being asked to join Nicola Conte's band for a live performance, in the middle of July, Budapest. Beside TUF Lõrinc runs his own band, Barabás Lõrinc Eklektric.
